Gamesys to call West End their new home in 2022
15 December, 2021

The Story

Online gaming operator Gamesys, who were recently acquired by US casino entertainment giant Bally, have appointed Maris as their design and build fit-out partner for a 100,000 sq ft office. This amazing opportunity is currently one of the largest office fit-outs in the West End at the former Acadia building in 70 Berners Street.

Spread over 4 floors, with an impressive double-height reception, the building is flooded with natural daylight through 2 main atriums, a roof terrace and a spectacular swooping spiral staircase which connects the working floors encouraging interaction and collaboration between 1000 staff members who will be based at this head office.

We have spent the past few months getting to know the different departments to fundamentally understand how they plan to work moving forward with more of a hybrid working approach between the home and the office. The end result is a destination space that encourages staff to come in and use the new facilities on site. These range from a large breakout space on the 6th with breath-taking views over the city, a variety of flexible meeting spaces and specific areas within teams to suit the different working styles.

A Gamesys spokesman said: “We are proud to be committing our future to London, where we have been based for the last 20 years. As we embrace hybrid working it’s important to have a brilliant space for face-to-face collaboration and we look forward to moving in the middle of 2022.”

We look forward to watching the design transform over the next few months on site as it turns into a contemporary working office that suits not only their current work setups but also future-proofing for expansion and flexibility to enable them to develop their space over the next few years.
